Kim Hunter is an accomplished singer-songwriter who has spent 20 years honing her craft. She has performed in various states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, and Louisiana, and at several events in Nashville, Tennessee, including the Ryman Auditorium. As a contracted songwriter with CMG Nashville, she won several awards for her songwriting efforts, including Star on the Horizon and Songwriter of the Year from the Tennessee Country Music Alliance. Kim has had multiple chart appearances with her hit songs, including Two Steppin Country, which reached #5 on the Roots Music Chart, and Fire Down in Texas (Co-Written with Frank Zaragoza), which spent 6 weeks at #1 on the EACM music chart and made it to 58 on The Texas Music Chart as released by the Terry Allen Band. Her 2 single releases for On It's Way spent 4 weeks at #1 on the EACM chart in 2021, and her latest EP Another Song About Texas featured the song Gone (co-written with Aaron Mullin), which made it to the 82nd spot on the top 100 of the Texas Internet Radio Charts and spent 8 weeks in the Top 20 most downloaded songs by Texas Radio on The CD Tex Top Download list. Kim was a member of the Terry Allen Band for 8 years, during which she wrote 4 songs on the band's only CD released for Atlanta's Optimus Records, which sold over 50 thousand copies. She has received several awards for her songwriting efforts, including being a 3-time finalist in the World Song Writing Competition and winning the 2022 Texas Songwriting Championship. Kim has opened for several big names in country music, including Leanne Rhimes, Chris LeDoux, Tracey Lawrence, Mark Chesnut, Daron Norwood,1100 Springs, Sunney Sweeney, David Ball, Six Market Boulevard, and Max Stalling. Her Current EP Another Song About Texas is available at her shows. A Brand new EP on Delta Star Records will be available also in spring of 2024.
