Raised around music, with her sister and uncle in a band and her father running bars in Oklahoma City, Kim was hooked on performing from a young age. After hearing her family play, she asked for a guitar the very next Christmas. This early exposure to music led her to form an all-girl band in Fort Worth, Texas, marking the beginning of her journey in the industry.
Over the years, Kim has developed a sound that is both polished and deeply personal, with songs that draw from her own life. Whether it is her hit single "Hometown Song," which made waves on the Texas Internet Chart in 2025, or "Fire Down in Texas," inspired by a heated phone call she overheard in traffic, Kim's writing captures the emotions and stories that resonate with listeners. Kim’s career has seen her play across a number of states, including Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, and she has had the honor of performing at iconic venues such as the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Her musical journey has been marked by notable chart successes, including her songs “Two Steppin Country,” which reached #5 on the Roots Music Chart, and "Fire Down in Texas," which spent six weeks at #1 on the EACM music chart.

Kim loves playing at "listening rooms" like Shakespeare Wine Co. in Oklahoma, where the crowd is more engaged and truly there to enjoy the music. One of her most beloved songs, “Cowboy Anthem,” was written 20 years after the initial idea came to her while traveling with a show for David Ball. The song was later finished after her co-writer reached out via social media.
